What to do with leather scraps? The manufacturing steps with upcycled leather.

  • Don't think I do what I want, quite the opposite.

    1.
When leather scraps speak to me

Each upcycled leather bag I create carries a unique story.

The Sahara is one of those creations that, even before existing, guides you into their world. It was this yellow upcycled leather scrap, soft and sunny to the touch, that whispered directions to me.
It evoked travel, distant lands, the warm light of the dunes.

Between its irregular shape and vibrant hue, all I had to do was listen: it already knew what it wanted to become.

    2.
When leather takes me on a journey

I decided to preserve the natural shape of this leather, a testament to its past.

I simply trimmed the imperfect edges, then built around it, like composing a melody: letting each curve tell its own story.

The luminous, warm bronze leather embraced the yellow contours, enhancing the depth of its shades.

To add texture and relief, I chose a brown, slightly reddish cowhide, which captures the light like a golden memory.

The reflections vary depending on the angle, reminiscent of the shifting texture of sands. This is the whole spirit of the artisanal bag, born from hand and eye, without calculation, but with emotion.

Finally, I had to find the second-hand jewel capable of complementing the whole.

Its hues — from orange to deep brown — blend with the leather and bring it what it was waiting for: a touch of character, elegance and femininity.

An almost palpable harmony, between material, light and gesture.

    3.
When the leather whispers "Thank you"

    And yet, here it is.
An upcycled leather bag, born from an assembly of instincts, textures and stories.
A bag that celebrates women's craftsmanship, handmade, the time devoted to the material.

Even today, it whispers to me:
"Look... it's almost mine. She's finishing getting ready. Watch out, she's coming! That's it, here we go..."

I then distinguish a door slamming, keys turning, then silence.
That suspended silence where the leather seems to hold its breath, ready to embark on a new life.

And what if "She" was You?

Would your hands brush this upcycled leather bag?
Would your eyes marvel at its reflections?
Would you let yourself be seduced by this encounter between intuition, emotion, and poetic upcycling?

And then, what would be the rest of the story?
    Where would it take you?
On the scorching desert roads, to a place only you could imagine, or simply to the heart of your daily life, which it would warm with its light?
